We had a nice stay at Atlantic Yatch Basin in a slip below the crane. We had to leave because they needed to use the crane that morning. We were up early anyway, so took off before anyone noticed around 7:30 am. The trip in the canal was pretty uneventful. Crossing the Currituck north end was into the wind at 25 k, but really not bad.
We arrived at Coinjock early at 12:50 pm.
That afternoon Bob Howell and Michelle Eden came by the boat for a visit. They live in Coinjock and brought gifts and wonderful conversation. They helped us kick off our trip. Thanks
We ate at Coinjock Marina Restaurant and sampled the traditional prime rib. Cathy and I split a small portion and I still took home some for lunch. Yum.
