Day 3 of our trip south. We motored from Coinjock to the upper reaches of the Pungo River (at the bottom of the Alligator River-Pungo Canal). We anchored for the night after a fantastic dinner onboard. The day had some excitement, starting in the dark and fog at 5:10 am, continued fog through the Alligator River Bridge, and down the canal when a bear decided to swim across the canal in from our our boat. Gwynn successfully avoided the critter who seemed to think he had the right-of-way.
