On Monday, 1/23/2023, We departed Morgan's Bluff at 0800 with a destination of West Bay (Clifton Bay). After motoring out the channel, we hoisted the main and unfurled the genoa and headed off on a close reach, plenty of wind, and clear skies. looked like we would have no problem making West Bay (and beating everyone around us). Around 9:00 am, we got word from Nassau Harbor Club that they did have room for us today, so we changed course to port and headed off to Nassau. Cathy was happy. This gives us a chance to re-provision, clean the boat, and take care of other final preps on the boat. We docked at Nassau at 1335 without any difficulty. I did check in with Nassau Harbor Control. I ran over to the grocery twice on Tuesday and checked out the liquor store. Liquor store prices were crazy, so I did not by anything. I did make water and fill starboard and port tanks. The water flow through the harbor is good, so I wait until the current is flowing from the bank before I start.
