We left Nassau about 0814 on Thursday 1/26/203 and headed out across the banks toward Shroud Cay. We had a light S wind so had to motor once again heading south. We started crossing the Yellow Bank about 10:30 which was about an hour before high tide. I tried a different path across the bank this time. I was on the bow looking for coral heads and Cathy was at the helm. On this track, the shallowest depth we saw was 14 feet and I saw very few coral heads to dogde. As we approached Shoud Cay, we saw about 23 boats anchored off the western shore, so we decided to move on to Hawksbill Cay. We picked up a mooring in the southern mooring field that showed plenty of depth. Later I checked the depths of all moorings and found mostly 11-12 feet throughout the field. We spent our time there with one other boat, Guajira with Juan and Allison, a delightful couple from New Orleans.
