We left Black Point at 0700 on Friday, Feb 3 to head out the inlet to Cat Island. We arrived at the anchorage in Old Bite near Rollez Resort at 3:30 pm. We had a nice trip across the Exuma Sound with a couple hours of true sailing. We did play it cautiously as we entered New Bite for the first time. We furled all the sails and I was on the bow watching for coral heads. We stayed at Old Bite for three nights to do some hiking and exploring. We also had an excellent dinner at the Rollez Resort, where the owners and staff were incredibly nice. I highly recommend stopping in for a meal.
