Day 2 - First half
Originally planned to stop in Morehead City but made great time through the sounds of NC.
Day 2 - Second Half
We pushed on to Wrightville Beach. We all hate bridges. Timing them was a pain and the ICW was shoaled up in several places.
Unfortunately, we arrived so late that I did not take any pictures. The next morning, we arose early and took off at daybreak.
Day 3 - Wrightsville to Charleston
We took Snow's Cut over to the Cape Fear and popped out in to the ocean at Bald Head Island. From there, it was a fast trip offshore to Charleston.

We were boarded for a random vessel inspection. Ryan and James were prepared and we passed with flying colors.
Fixing a leaky shaft
James noticed a small leak in one of the prop shafts, so we called a mechanic to repack the seals while in Charleston.

We left Charleston early on Wednesday, continued through the night and arrived in Ft. Lauderdale about midday on Thursday.
Evening Hitchhiker
This little guy was flying around the boat during my watch. I thought it was a strange bird, but suddenly I felt it come inside. It was a bat. I let him sleep until morning and then gently pulled him out. I let him go back into the air, but he dropped like a rock without trying to fly. Not sure he made it.
