Log 42 - Newport to Mystic
We left Newport, RI about 7:10 am so we could get to Mystic in time to tour around a bit. As we left, we hit an unfavorable current going out Narragansett Bay, but made reasonable time anyway. A very large sailing yacht passed us by in the Bay. Requires too much crew to manage.
We had an uneventful run down to Mystic and followed a fellow Beneteau into the harbor. He was a local, so he showed us all the shortcuts.
We arrived at Brewer Yacht Yard in Mystic at 1 pm. While Cathy ran a load of laundry, I got the dinghy ready. Then went for a tour of Mystic Seaport and the town.
We also had a nice dinner on the water a local restaurant that was apparently quite popular. We arrived at happy hour and had trouble finding a place to stand, let alone sit. It was fun anyway.
