Log13 - Bucks Harbor, Cape Rosier
I can see why Buck's Harbor is a favorite spot due to its protection, but for the crusing sailor, it could be skipped. It is so popular (crowded) that you can only stay there on a mooring and you are packed like sardines. There are a few spots to anchor, but not very comfortably. Everyone was nice there, but I would be inclined to sail on by next time.
I have a video of motoring through the harbor, but it takes some time to view.
The positive side of Buck's Harbor, other than the protection, is the location at the head of Eggemoggin Reach. Good place to start from, but there are other options.
